DevOps Engineer

Job Overview

JUST ONE, on behalf of its client, a major systemic banking and financial services group in Greece is looking for a DevOps Engineer.

  • Design and implement scripting and automation solutions to improve Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and streamline processes to make them faster, more efficient, human error-free and consistent.
  • Design and implement containerization solutions (Docker and Kubernetes tools, etc.) to enable consistent and portable software deployment.​
  • Monitor system performance, ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.​
  • Carry out monitoring and logging processes to ensure high availability and performance of software applications.
  • Identify technical problems and develop software updates, “fixes” and tools to ensure high availability and reliability of software.​
  • Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.​
  • Perform root-cause analyses of production errors and resolve technical issues.​
  • Collaborate with software developers and engineers to ensure that the development follows the established processes and performs as anticipated.​
  • Adapt quickly to changes in requirements, willing to work with different technologies, if needed.​
  • Educate the organization and communicate internally about the DevOps culture.​

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or any other related field.​
  • At least two (2) to four (4) years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Experience in common scripting or object-oriented or functional or procedural programming languages.
  • Experience in DevOps CI/CD Pipeline design and setup.
  • Experience in version control systems.
  • Knowledge of APIs (JSON, REST, SOAP).

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps.
  • Solid understanding of code analysis services, like SonarQube.
  • Experience with Dynatrace or other Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and observability platforms.
  • Knowledge of containerized technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with OpenShift Container Platform and Istio service mesh.
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows OS, Linux OS flavors and domain information utilities such as Active Directory, LDAP and DNS) administration.
  • Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken).
